Nevado SolimanaLocation: 15.25° S, 72.49° WElevation: 6.093 mNevado Solimana is an extinct stratovolcano on the high plainbetween Chuquibamba and Cotahuasi. The summit is on a jagged,eroded rim that contains three main peaks. The south-west peak is thelowest, at about 19, (5900 meters). The north peak is just over 6000meters, with no recorded climbs. The summit is the center peak at19,990 feet (6093 meters), which requires good glacial skills toascend by the normal route.
